The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation (TRPLF) welcomes Wallace R. (Wally) Goulet, who was recently hired as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the organization. He will begin his duties on Sept. 5, 2017.
Goulet is a retired attorney who most recently served as the vice president and general counsel of National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) in Mandan, N.D.
His decades-long career includes extensive experience as a general practice lawyer in trial and business law, as well as general counsel for numerous companies and cities. He also possesses a strong background in executive management and business development.
“Wally brings a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to the TRPLF as we move vigorously forward with the planning and construction of the TR Presidential Library,” said TRPLF Board Chair Bruce Pitts. “We could not be more pleased that he has agreed to join us in our efforts to build a presidential library worthy of Theodore Roosevelt.”
As COO, Goulet will be responsible for the overall operations of the TRPLF, which is an independent 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. Duties include establishing staffing, infrastructure, policies, and procedures to ensure that the corporation is run ethically, legally, and efficiently. Goulet will oversee the personnel, finances, and fundraising efforts needed to construct and operate the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library (TRPL) being built in Dickinson, N.D.
Goulet said he is excited to join the project, noting that his philosophy is that it’s not about him, but about working together to accomplish something of great import.
“This is an opportunity for everyone involved to do something truly significant for our state and nation, and to honor the vision and the investment that the state legislature, the City of Dickinson, and a national board of trustees have made in launching this project,” he said.
